5G Antennas and amplifiers will be installed on the

5G network will revolutionize business, lives, societies, economies and everything else. It will power the automation of almost everything you can imagine. Everybody loves fast speed Internet and as more and more devices, such as watches, phones, tablets, televisions, security systems, etc. are turning into smart devices, the demand for a high-speed Internet is ever increasing. By 2020, 20.8 billion devices will be connected to the Internet according to a Gartner report(https://www.gartner.com/newsroom/id/3165317). So many inert devices that we see today will be connected to the Internet using 5G network. What is 5G Network? 5G or fifth generation network will expand the capabilities of the 4G network. 5G will increase the speed of data transmission dramatically and it is being built to connect the entire population of the world. 5G network will significantly reduce the downloading chores and every content you need will be available via real-time streaming instantly. The incredible speeds will be able to power the technologies like autonomous vehicles, IoT(Internet of Things) devices, etc. It will be able to deliver the speeds in the range of 4 Gbps. Some areas enjoy the Internet at the Gigabits speed, but the super-fast internet is quite uncommon. With the existing technologies, it is incredibly expensive to lay down infrastructure to deliver blazing fast internet. It requires digging of roads to lay down fiber-optics. The 5g network won’t face the issues associated with laying down long underground wires. It will be easier to distribute the blazing fast Internet and make it commercially viable for the masses. The 5g Internet is based on air transmission and does not need cables to work. Users will be able to receive the Internet in a variety of ways and amplify the signals using antennas, etc. Antennas and amplifiers will be installed on the rooftops, cartops for enhanced connectivity. How does the 5G work? Consortiums of global telecom are working together to set the standards for 5G. The 5G network will be backward compatible and have interoperability across the globe. Cellphones primarily use two-way data transmission. When you make a call or send an SMS or an email, the network converts your input into an electrical signal. The cell phone transmits the electrical signal to the nearest tower. The tower redirects your data across a channel of towers to the designated destination. New wireless data transmission technologies are assigned a higher frequency bandwidth. For example, 4G was assigned the frequency bands up to 20 MHz. However, 5G is expected to rest at the frequency bands around 6 GHz. Higher frequencies are used as they are unoccupied and they can transmit data at a very fast rate. However, higher frequency signals don’t travel as far as lower frequency signals. They need multiple input and output antennas to boost the signals. The Future of 5G It is available in some test locations in the United States in certain areas of New Jersey, Texas, and Oregon. However, 5G won’t be commercially available anytime sooner than 2020. Many companies like Samsung, Ericsson, BT, Qualcomm, Nokia have started investing heavily in the 5G technologies. Qualcomm and Samsung are focusing on the 5G hardware like modems and routers. Nokia and Ericsson are working on the 5G platforms for mobile carriers and create 5G radio systems. An entirely new ecosystem will take shape with the set standards and architectures. Mobile manufacturers will have to build 5G capable handsets. The companies will have to deal with the challenge of spectrum availability for the consumers. It is expected that the 5G network will be completely defined by the end of 2019 and the deployments will begin taking in 2020. As 5G is expected to connect a large number of indoor devices for IoT applications, it will need to perform optimally indoors. A major proportion of the mobile traffic originates indoors, the network will have to use specialized indoor solutions. By using coordinated signals across low-power radios, companies will be able to overcome the trouble created by obstacles. To Sum Up 5G network will start being commercially available from 2020 and it will revolutionize the entire global trade, business, economy, societies and almost everything we can imagine. It will power the IoT revolution which will make human lives far more convenient than it is today by fueling the automation of physical as well as digital infrastructure.
