common signs that this article points out include feeling sad, loss of
interest, low energy, feeling of restlessness, and consequently the feeling to

getting help from family members, reaching out to individuals who may be in the
same faith community, talking to a friend, and most importantly seeking help
from a doctor. Another important issue that the brochure addresses is the
treatment options that can be used by those affected by depressions. In this
concern, it suggests that the patient should seek counseling, get prescribed
medications and most importantly visit the support groups. The brochure goes on
to emphasize the need for patients to get treatment rather than seek quick fix
such as taking alcohol which most victims prefer. Some of the problems that
depression can cause when left untreated includes the suicide thoughts,
unemployment, and issues in their relationships.

Regarding therapies that are
mostly used to treat the conditions, the author recommends several vital issues
that the patients or rather the readers should be able to ask the therapist.
Some of the questions suggested in this brochure include seeking the

confidentiality, treatment plan, and the level of expertise of the therapist.
In cases where medicines are prescribed, the authors recommend that the

the conditions. In such concerns, the author further suggests that they be able
to ask their doctors whether the medicine is the right one, the side effects,
cases when a dose is missed and the feelings that a patient should expect after
taking medicine.

Consequently, in situations
where the patient does not feel like seeking help from the doctors and
therapist, the author further recommends the need to seek help from either
family or friend. This because isolation can also worsen the situations. While
seeking help from such individuals, it is essential for the patients to make
appointments, write down instructions and similarly ask questions. In ensuring

Evaluations
of the brochure

The presentation of this booklet
is well done. It deserves credit for consistently articulating issues.  The most exciting thing about this brochure
is the manner in which the writer has comprehensively covered the most critical
topics that interest the readers especially the patient who endures such
conditions. Another exciting thing about the brochure is the use picture that
engages the readers in the concepts discussed. However, the author could have
continued to use relevant images within the pamphlet to make advertise the
external outlook of one who is depressed which could make it more educative.
Usually, the pictures tend to ring in the minds than words.

This topic was quite interesting
because there are people close to whom suffer from bipolar depression, as well
take care of patients with mental health issues. Seeing their daily struggles
has given me a different outlook on how things can rapidly change. In the
future it will become a better nurse, because I know that not every patient is
the same. The information provided in this brochure is significant especially
in managing life stresses that tend to causes depressions. Through this
brochure, I have gained several ideas and valuable information regarding
depressions and the most common questions I need to expect from patients. This
brochure was well presented as it covered every element reading the condition
of depressions and the most conventional approaches that the patients could be
compelled to inquire.

The nursing research study is
geared towards teaching holistic depression to care in older adults has
objectively tried to address various issues regarding the victims of the
depression. However, it has not articulated various concepts presented in this brochure.
For instance, the research paper used in this study focused on nursing students
regarding the issue of depressions basing on self-efficacy, knowledge, and
attitudes. It discusses the different level of care that an advanced practice
nurse would provide to an adult suffering from depression versus those who are
not advanced practice. The article also discusses the difference between
depression among younger adults and older adults. However, the simplicity of
the brochure overall makes it very easy for people to understand and gain
information concerning the conditions.

Conclusion

People should understand that
depression is a severe condition that when left untreated can lead to other
problems such a lot of concern must always be based on public awareness
especially on ways it can be treated. Besides research studies undertaken by
scholars should be focused on most common issues that patients need to know
regarding depressions.
